Sarah began training in Hap Ki Do in 1995 when she was 14.  Her curiosity for martial arts was sparked when her little brother began the children’s classes at Global Martial Arts Academy, so she decided to try it out as well (and made Erin Skiles try it with her). 

She earned her 1^st Dan black belt in October 1998 and continued to train until her second year of college when classes, work, and studying abroad no longer permitted free time.  

After graduating from college, Sarah happily returned to Global to pick up on her training and rejoin the close knit family that the entire school has become.  

She has since been promoted to 2nd Dan and is now working toward earning her 3rd Dan black belt in Hap Ki Do.  Sarah regularly attends seminars in Mississippi and Baltimore with Grandmaster J.R. West.
