Erin started HapKiDo in September 1995 simply as a way to meet new people. Apparently, she must have.  She achieved her 1st Dan Black Belt in 1998 and started instructing immediately thereafter.  She has since gone on to earn her 2nd and 3rd Dan Black Belts and is currently working toward 4th Dan.

She has had the benefit of not only training with Master Borucki, but also with Grandmaster JR West and Bong Soo Han, a martial arts "legend."

Erin has a special comedic and sharp wit when managing the children's classes. She believes that although HapKiDo is fun, there is a serious side and she mixes the two in a way as to make the classes she teaches enjoyable, yet fulfilling for all the children.

When asked what HapKiDo has done for her, Erin quickly replies that "HapKiDo has given me the confidence I needed in all areas of my life."  She has made it the cornerstone of her teaching style to make certain that her students walk away with the same degree of confidence that she has been the beneficiary of.
